I am Liza Edgington, an award winning and published wedding photographer. It's now been 10 years since I discovered my love for photographing people, rapidly transforming into a passion for wedding photography. I don't shoot any other genre of photography and have dedicated all my time learning and perfecting my skills not only to tell the story of your day but also to guide you through what is one of life's most meaningful and wonderful events. I am known for my people skills, calm nature and being able to quickly put together group shots and confetti lines, even in the most (seemingly) chaotic of circumstances you will never see me without a smile!

I like to describe my style as contemporary romance, I love creating meaningful and soulful images using a classic approach. I am there to help you every step of the way, from the moment you first email me to when you receive your full gallery.

Long before discovering a passion for wedding photography, I can remember enjoying taking candid photos of my friends and family, it was my husband who gave me a DSLR for my birthday and that was it, my life changed forever. Just one year into my business I won Dorset Wedding Photographer of the year and went on to achieve regional finalist for the prestigious TWIA two years later, more recently I was invited to judge the photography category in The Wedding Business Awards and I am also a judge for the Rotary Young Photographer Competition.

I love to shoot beautiful, elegant & contemporary weddings, particularly the ‘English garden’ style weddings where my powerful visual storytelling teamed with a romantic and timeless style come together to reflect my love of people and their emotional connections. My other true love is travel and I am frequently working on international photography projects as well as mentoring other photographers on their journey to success with my luxury destination wedding workshops held in the Algarve.

I have quite an unusual commute to work, I actually live mostly in the sunny Algarve where I also own a traditional portuguese restaurant, it keeps me busy outside of wedding season! I grew up in southern Portugal however I am based in Dorset during the wedding season. I cover quite a few miles during the year, by plane, car and ferry.

I am married to the love of my life who I've known since we were 13, we have two handsome boys aged 18 and 11, three dogs (a crazy Doberman, our lovely rescue Polly and of course, the alpha, my fluffy chihuahua Betsy). Our home is by the sea so we are often out on our boat and taking sunset walks on the beach, I'm at the happiest I have ever been and I believe that reflects in my work.
